Support
A real person reads this. Usually Scott.
Tell us what happened and we will get back to you. We are a small team, so we answer as fast as a small team can.
Reporting something broken
The more of this you can tell us, the faster it gets fixed. None of it is required. An email that just says "the schedule is wrong" is still better than an email you did not send.
- What you tapped, and what you expected to happen instead
- Which horse, and which screen you were on
- Your iPhone model and iOS version, from Settings then General then About
- Whether you had signal at the time. Barn aisles are a real cause of real bugs
- A screenshot, if you have one
Questions we get
Does BarnPilot tell me if my horse is sound?
No, and it never will. That is the one thing we refuse to do. BarnPilot is not a veterinarian and it has never touched your horse. When you upload an X-ray or a vet report, it reads that document back to you in plain language so you know what to ask. It does not diagnose, it does not score your horse out of a hundred, and it does not decide whether he is fit to work. That is your call, your trainer's call and your vet's call.
How does the rest countdown work?
You tell it. Your vet says four days, you tap four days, and the horse counts down and walks back into the rotation on his own the next morning. Nothing to remember and nothing to clear. If you do not know how long yet, which is normal with an injury, choose undetermined and he stays out until you say otherwise. We never suggest a length of rest, because we do not know and we will not pretend to.
The weather advice looks wrong for my horse.
Check his profile. The advice is built on two facts you give us: whether he is body clipped, and where he spends his day. A clipped horse feels the same night about two blanket weights colder than the horse in the next stall, and a horse who lives out is in it all night while a horse with a walk out lets himself in. If those are set wrong the advice will be confidently wrong. Both save the instant you tap them.
I entered something at the barn and it vanished.
It should not, and we would like to hear about it. BarnPilot saves your work on the phone when there is no signal and sends it up when you get back on a network, even if your phone shut the app down in your pocket. If something you entered is genuinely gone, please email us with roughly when and where you were, because that is a bug we would want to chase.
What does the trainer lookup actually check?
It searches public SafeSport and USEF records and shows you what it found. That is all it is. It is not a background check, it is not an endorsement, and a clean result is not a character reference. If something matters, confirm it directly with USEF or the U.S. Center for SafeSport. We would rather hand you an honest starting point than a false sense of safety.
Can I get my data out, or delete it?
Yes. Email us at team@barnpilot.ai and we will export everything we hold about you and your horses, or delete the account and its contents. See the privacy policy for what we hold and how long.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they are cancelled through Apple, not through us. On your iPhone: Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then BarnPilot, then Cancel. We cannot cancel or refund it from our side, though we are happy to help you find it.
Which languages does it speak?
English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and German. The barn translator exists because the person doing the work and the person writing the instructions do not always share a first language, and a misread instruction is a real risk to a real horse.
Something urgent with a horse
Please do not email us. Call your veterinarian. BarnPilot is a record and a reminder, not an emergency service, and we are not always at a desk.
