Delete your BarnPilot account

You can permanently delete your BarnPilot account from the app or request deletion without the app. There is no fee. This page applies to BarnPilot on Android, iPhone, and iPad.

Delete from the BarnPilot app

1. Sign in to the BarnPilot account you want to delete.
2. Open Settings.
3. Choose Delete Account and follow the confirmation prompts.

Because you are signed in, the app can verify that the request belongs to the account being deleted.

Request deletion without the app

1. Email team@barnpilot.ai with the subject BarnPilot account deletion request.
2. Send the request from the email address used for your BarnPilot account and identify that address in the message.
3. Complete the ownership check we send before deletion.

We may ask you to reply from the registered address, sign in to BarnPilot, or confirm limited non-sensitive account details. We will never ask for your password, verification code, complete payment-card number, or private veterinary records to verify a deletion request. If you used Apple's Hide My Email, contact us through the private relay address connected to BarnPilot when possible.

What deletion removes

After ownership is verified, BarnPilot removes the account's active records and associated stored uploads, including:

• the BarnPilot profile, account preferences, and active device notification tokens;
• horse and barn records, schedules, tasks, nutrition, tack, shows, and prospect records;
• ride journals, tracked routes, ride photos, and optional Navigator contributions tied to the account;
• uploaded photos, videos, documents, bills, analyses, and health records stored for that account; and
• camera account associations and server-held recovery material belonging to that account.

What may remain

• Residual encrypted backup copies may remain until the normal backup overwrite cycle completes. They are not kept as an active customer account.
• We may retain the minimum transaction, security, tax, accounting, or legal record required for the applicable obligation, only for as long as that obligation requires it.
• We may retain the deletion request and related support correspondence as long as reasonably needed to complete and document the request, prevent abuse, or meet a legal or security obligation.
• Copies you already shared with another person or app are controlled by that recipient. Apple, Google Play, Amazon, and other outside services retain their own transaction records under their policies.

Deleting a BarnPilot account does not factory-reset camera hardware or erase information held independently by a retailer, app store, messaging service, or another person. It does not delete another BarnPilot user's account or content.

What happens next

We acknowledge an emailed request, complete the ownership check, and process a verified request without unreasonable delay. We will confirm when the active BarnPilot account has been removed or explain what is still required. If you want a copy of your information, ask for an export before deletion.
